A Truly wild stay

We are 20 minutes from the town of Pahoa where you can find grocery stores, local restaurants and a drug store.

There is no wifi or television for a full immersive experience. You should get cell reception depending on your carrier (T-Mobile does not get reception in our area)

Our farm and the farm next door are both working farms so you will hear the sounds of animals and people and the occasional hum of a generator. We have two dogs that may venture down to see you!

Jungle living offers a unique stay not found in most other areas of the world. While Hawaii does not have any predators or poisonous creatures, we do have the odd wild pig that can be heard at night along with bright green geckos and tiny coqui frogs that make their way indoors from time to time. We treat the cottages with all natural bug deterrent but sometimes they still find their way in. We are completely off-grid but all of our water is filtered and safe to drink and shower in.

The nights are boisterous with the sounds of coqui frogs. Most guests find the background noise soothing.

The cottages are open air and do not have locks on the doors. We share this for your consideration

The weather on the East Side of the Big Island can shift from blazing sun to chilly rain so it is recommended to have layers and a raincoat.
